Oracle Programmer

Job Description

The Oracle PL/SQL Programmer is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, production support, tuning, and maintenance of Oracle stored procedures and SQL scripts. This position regularly interacts with various development teams, business systems analysts, and product managers. Candidates should be able to demonstrate technical proficiency, execute their responsibilities with minimal direction, and communicate effectively within project teams.

Job Duties
  1. Design, development, deployment, and maintenance of various processes related to the needs of external business unit.
  2. Provide for stability, scalability, behavior, security, and efficent performance of various processes related to the needs of the DBA team and the external business unit.
  3. Will analyze project information requirements, data relationships, and attributes, resulting in data flows, program structures, hardware needs, and outputs for the projects
  4. Revise data feeds and database schema in support of changes made to code to support new public facing site features
  5. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company's data-related processes and systems
  6. Work closely with our Reporting and Analysis team
  7. When appropriate or necessary, work with team members to review code, develop and execute unit testing strategies, and help design and enforce coding standards.
Minimum Requirements
  1. 1+ years of Oracle (9i or higher), PL/SQL programming experience
  2. 1+ years working directly with business teams or as a technical consultant
  3. Basic familiarity with database architecture and schema design
  4. Clear and effective written and verbal communicator
  5. Works well independently and with a team in the pursuit of a collective objective
