C Programmer

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for programming high volume mission critical applications using C. You will be developing new features or optimizing existing applications for stability, security, and scalability. Projects range from 1 week monitoring systems to fully distributed and redundant client/server applications. You will be asked to provide assistance to user inquires for your projects in clear and often times non-technical terms. Projects will be both solo and part of a team.

Minimum Requirements
  1. 4+ years programming in C in a Linux environment
  2. SQL experience (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL)
  3. CVS, Subversion, BitKeeper or other version control
  4. RedHat Linux experience
  5. Full project life cycle experience
  6. Ability to assist and teach Jr. Developers
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  8. Highly motivated, able to work both in a team and solo
  9. Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Desirable Skills
  1. Perl/Shell scripting knowledge
  2. TCP/IP and UDP socket programming experience
  3. RedHat Linux experience
  4. Perl XS experience
  5. mod_perl experience
  6. SNMP experience
  7. HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and web development experience
